Nuansa Thailand di Jakarta

It’s Goldy’s 25th birthday, so I decide to give something special for him and for me too. Loh kok for me too?

Men love gadgets, so I get him a new gadget he always wanted. It’s cold hard gift anyway. Kita pergi bareng ke toko tempat gadgetnya dan he got to pick for himself. It’s my logical side talking.

anang bday

For my emotional and romantic side, I think about something else. Waktu gue jalan-jalan ke Thailand tempo hari, memang bener-bener girls days out and dia nggak ikut. A Special Thailand Day, just for us.

Semua tempat langsung gue booking tanpa pikir panjang.

Setelah getting his new gadget, gue ajak dia ke Blush yang bertempat di D-Best Fatmawati Blok. E-12. Dia nggak tahu kemana kita akan pergi, gue sengaja mislead him. Trus pas dia liat papan ‘Traditional Thai Massage’, langsung senyum-senyum gugup hehe.

But overall, I like it dan badan gue jadi segar setelah itu. You can have the Traditional Thai Massage for Rp 108.000 for 90 minutes.

Then we’re off to Lan Na Thai, restoran Thailand di sebelah BPD Plaza, belakang Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

Ternyata bener. Di dalamnya hampir semua bule. Dan hampir semua rapi (kemeja, jas, dasi, gaun, dll). Gue sama Goldy tampil beda dengan t-shirt dan jeans plus tampang kucel habis dipijet hehe.

Langsung pesen Tom Yam Gung yang ternyata disini enak banget. Sama dengan yang di Phuket. Trus pesen makanan lain beserta dessert. Pas liat bill-nya, rasanya gue ingin segera menawarkan jasa cuci piring haha. This place is good for bule’s money only. For us it’s good for special occasion.

Anyway, it was fun, we had a great time the whole day (meskipun seharian, gue nggak berhenti memikirkan pekerjaan (hehe)). But, sometimes we need a time off. Right? I’m blessed to have this opportunity to choose my own time off for the right reason in the right time.

To my Goldy, happy 25th birthday! It’s a powerful age. Hope it will make you stronger. Wish you all the best!

Talen, it’s been a really tough two years for you. You’ve been so paintet (I can’t imagine I’d be the same). When you are done sorting out your old life, your new one will be waiting. All fresh and shiny new.Mike and Llyod are soooooo right about the honeymoon period. You can almost time it. Like you, I came to Thailand many times before finally living here and I was like NO! Not me! But it happened just like people warned.First you love LOVE Thailand. Then the cracks start showing. The ups and downs settle into dislike.Sometimes distain and mistrust get mixed in.Eventually (if you are lucky) you come out the other end with a healthier mindset of the country. But it’s never the same..-= Catherineb4s last blog .. =-.
